"When I was in London for a Buffy conference. I was walking down the street with Drew Greenberg and Tom Lenk and we spotted a life size Spike cardboard figure in a novelty store. We all posed with it. Even though we know James. I felt it was a true 'we're all fans on the inside' moment."

- Quick anecdote of Jane's from time on Buffy the Vampire Slayer

"Joss asked each of us to pick an era or style, and I just declared 'Jane Austen' without thinking about whether or that style really lent itself to action-packed visual narrative. But then I enjoyed the challenge. I often find that writers do better at hard jobs than easy ones, because you're really forced to think."

- A clipping from the main interview with Jane regarding her Tales of the Slayers story, 'Persuasion'.

"I was meeting with Brian Horton, Paul Lee, Jim Pascoe, and Tom Fassbender in LA for breakfast, to discuss Creatures of Habit, the illustrated novel we did. The table was covered with paintings and drawings of Buffy. In walked Sarah Michelle Gellar. We all froze. I leapt across the table and started flipping over drawings, covering it all up, so she wouldn't see. Paul and Brian looked at each other, and then started flipping them all back over, so she would. The rest of the meal, every time I had to use the word Buffy in a sentence, I'd mumble it. But if Paul or Brian had the same opportunity, they raised their voices. They kept talking about how we had to seize this opportunity. The next day I was meeting with Joss, and I told him about it, and he said I did the right thing, that situations like that are why LA has cops."

- Quick anecdote of Scott Allie's from his 5+ years editing Buffy the Vampire Slayer
