"Gotta be with movin'forward... Like a shark with feet and much less fins."

- Xander in 'Restless'

Welcome Back!

W had a little bit of a delay with this update, but nothing too major. I originally announced the 27th, and it's only a couple of days later as I write this Meanderings, so I figure I'm doing all right.

The reason for the delay was basically to accomodate the folks from whedonesque.com who always seem to discover the site just as I want to update it. If anyone out there knows the whedonesque people, feel free to pass the link along. Site rules say I can't post my own notices on the blog, so in that way my destiny is in your hands.

And, to be honest, most of my traffic seems to be coming from there, so...

Anyways, on to the update. Alex Sanchez and Derek Fridolfs hit the Post Mortem this week to pay their respects to Buffy and their work on the Tales of the Vampires mini-series. These talented gents illustrated the framing sequences for each of the five issues, all penned by Joss. It was all good fun, and if you read the books, you know what I'm talking about.

As always, check out the Galleries and other info attached to the PM site. You never know if you'll find something you've never seen before. It's worth the point and click.

The other interview on the site is one I conducted with the fabulously talented Jill Thompson last year. We discussed the creation of her Scary Godmother Halloween Spooktacular and it's somewhat lengthy trip from the page to the small screen.

And just so you know, I'm kicking myself a bit because, somewhow, I lost my interview with the director of the Halloween Spooktacular, Zeke Norton, and I would have loved to have shared it in conjunction with the Jill interview. They were done to be edited together in the first place, but my lack of organization has doomed that plan to the seventh level of hell, I think.

If I find the ol' bugger, I'll be sure to get it up as soon as I can. Again, it's worth the read.

So, that's it for this time, really. Next week we'll have the return of Jane Espenson to these pages, but she'll be bringing along Animation buddy, Eric Wight, to talk about the Animated Buffy project that is getting shopped around as we speak.

So, enjoy Alex and Derek and the other stuff the site has to offer. If you have any comments, feel free to hit the Forum link at the bottom of the page or on the sidebar - always happy to start up a little chatter.

Hope to see you for Week 4!
